Motor vehicle tax (PKB) reductions are being held in many provinces, some of which even continue until the end of the year.
The main aim of reducing taxes on cars and motorbikes is to attract more taxpayers.
The community will of course also get many benefits through this tax whitening program. One of them is the exemption from PKB fines and Motor Vehicle Transfer of Title Fees (BBNKB), as well as the principal exemption from BBNKB II.
One of them is West Java Province which is also implementing motor vehicle tax reduction. Based on the West Java Bapenda page, the motor vehicle tax reduction is valid until December 16 2023.
The following are the terms and conditions that must be fulfilled, Monday (20/11/2023):

– Applies to individuals who own and/or control Motorized Vehicles; – Agency, Government, West Java Provincial Government, Regency/City Regional Government and Village Government; – Exemption for payment of applications for Change of Shape, Ex-dump/Auction Vehicles that have not been registered and Replace Machine;- Payment Period 16 October 2023 to 16 December 2023.
Requirements
– Original STNK – Original E-KTP – Latest SKKP/SKPD – Original BPKB (Specifically for Polda Metro Jaya (Bekasi & Depok) or Special 5 Annual Tax Payments/Change Number Plates)– Vehicle presented at Samsat according to Domicile (Specially for 5 Annual Tax Payments/Change Number Plates)– Proof of Physical Check Results (Specially for 5 Annual Tax Payments/Change Number Plates).
Mechanism
Taxpayers carry out:
– Physical Check of Vehicles (Specifically for 5 Annual Taxes/Change Number Plates). – Check ownership of Motorized Vehicles at the Progressive Counter. – Submission of complete requirements at the Registration Counter.
Officers determine the amount of Tax and SWDKLLJ as well as determine the amount of PNBP for STNK and TNKB (Special for 5 Annual Taxes/Number Plate Changes) by printing the NPPKB.
Taxpayers make:
– Payment of PKB and SWDKLLJ as well as PNBP STNK and TNKB (Specially for 5 Annual Taxes/Change Number Plates) at the Payment Counter. – Acceptance of registered SKPD/SKKP and STNK (Specially for 5 Annual Taxes/Change Number Plates) ) or validated STNK (for annual re-registration) at the Submission Counter.
Annual PKB payments can be made at the Samsat joint office, Mobile Samsat, Gendong Samsat, Outlet Samsat, Drive Thru Samsat, Regional E-Samsat (Bank BJB, BCA, BNI). Meanwhile, 5-year PKB payments can be made at the office with the parent Samsat where the vehicle is registered (the vehicle’s original Samsat).
