Hyundai Ioniq 7 Caught Taking a Road Test, Uses the Same Powertrain as the Kia EV9?

,

Hyundai was recently caught road testing a prospective new electric car which is thought to be the Ioniq 7 in Germany.

According to Rushlane, Tuesday (21/11/2023), the Hyundai Ioniq 7 electric car will most likely use the same powertrain as the Kia EV9 which was previously launched.

Even though it is still covered in camouflage stickers, the design of the Hyundai Ioniq 7 no longer appears to use sliding doors like the concept model.

Apart from that, the production version of the Hyundai Ioniq 7 emphasizes the impression of an MPV (multi purpose vehicle) which is very different from the Ioniq 6.

At first glance, this model is reminiscent of family cars such as the Stargazer and Staria, with a short hood and pillars A is quite pointy. Not only does it have an MPV feel, the overall design of the Hyundai Ioniq 7 looks contained.

If it is true that the Hyundai Ioniq 7 uses the Kia EV9 powertrain, this model will be equipped with two motor options, namely a single motor with a maximum power of 201 tk and a dual motor with a power of 379 tk.

The Hyundai Ioniq 7 is also expected to benefit from the 800V charging system found in the Kia Ev9. In this way, the Hyundai Ioniq 7 is capable of recharging the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 24 minutes. It will be interesting to see whether the Hyundai Ioniq 7 electric car will also come to Indonesia, considering that the South Korean automotive company is already marketing the Hyundai Ioniq 6 in the country.
