Revealed! Ducati Boss Turns Out He Doesn`t Want Marc Marquez to Move to His Team

Marc Marquez is known to be riding a Ducati motorbike in the 2024 MotoGP race with Gresini Racing.

Nanun recently revealed that the Ducati boss actually doesn’t want a move for the Spanish racer.

Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna, said that Gresini was the one who was quite adamant about wanting to recruit Marquez.

“Ducati didn’t want it. The Gresini team took advantage of this opportunity, and I understand that,” said Gigi, quoted from Motosan, Sunday (26/11/2023).

“Because having a racer with the title of eight-time world champion, for a private team means visibility, the possibility of getting sponsors and tremendous sporting satisfaction for those who put so much passion into MotoGP,” he explained.

Marc Marquez Officially Leaves Honda

Marc Marquez officially leaves the Repsol Honda Team after the 2023 MotoGP ends.

Marquez still has one season remaining on his contract at Honda. However, Marquez and Honda have reached an agreement to end the contract.

Quoted from the MotoGP website, both parties agreed that the decision to terminate the contract was the best for both parties.

“Honda Racing Corporation and Marc Marquez have both chosen to terminate their four-year contracts prematurely at the end of the 2023 MotoGP season.”

“With one year remaining in the four-year contract between HRC and Marc Marquez, both parties agreed to end their cooperation after the completion of the 2023 season. Both parties agreed it was in the best interests,” wrote Honda.

For information, Marc Marquez won six MotoGP world titles with Honda.

Marquez even immediately locked in the world title in his first season moving up to MotoGP class in 2013.
