Chief Executive Officer Subaru Indonesia Arie Christopher said that the Subaru Crosstrek, Subaru BRZ and Subaru WRX are the types of Subaru cars with the highest sales levels in Indonesia.
The current price of the Subaru Crosstrek is IDR 549,500,000, while the Subaru BRZ starts at IDR 845,000,000, and the Subaru WRX starts from IDR 849,500,000.
“Crosstrek is around 40 percent, BRZ is around 25 percent, and WRX is around 20 percent,” said Arie, when met after the opening of Plaza Subaru Tebet, South Jakarta, Thursday (23/11/2023).
According to Arie, the largest number of Subaru consumers in Indonesia come from the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi areas, followed by consumers from Surabaya, and the third largest Indonesian Subaru consumers come from the Batam area, Riau Islands.
Every time a new type of car is purchased, said Arie, consumers will receive a Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) approximately six to eight months after the delivery of the first car to the consumer. However, he ensured that customers could still use their cars because Subaru Indonesia would provide an official driving license.
“So, for example, the first delivery of the Subaru WRX and Subaru WRX Wagon to customers was in April, now in November all of them (STNKs) have arrived,” said Arie.
If car sales have been going on for some time, Arie ensures that consumers will get a STNK in a quicker time.
“For example, today people want to buy a Subaru WRX, the STNK has already been completed in two and a half months. Likewise for purchasing the Subaru BRZ which has been launched since August 2022. So now if people want to buy a Subaru BRZ, the two and a half month STNK is also in order ,” said Arie.
The road certificate provided by Subaru Indonesia is only valid for new types of cars that have just been released, which require more time for the STNK issuance process.
“There are no additional costs for travel documents, this is a form of our responsibility and commitment to provide peace of mind to Subaru consumers,” said Arie.
Inaugurates Tebet Subaru Dealership
Subaru Indonesia itself only has five dealers in Indonesia, after Plaza Subaru Tebet was inaugurated on Thursday in Jakarta. This newest Subaru dealer is expected to attract consumers in South, Central and East Jakarta.
Previously, Subaru already had a dealer in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta; Alam Sutera Tangerang; Batam and Surabaya. Subaru plans to build their sixth dealership in Bandung next December and another dealership in West Jakarta in 2024.
Plaza Subaru Tebet, which is located on Jalan Dr Saharjo No 315 Tebet, stands on an area of 1,900 square meters and has a building area 2,450 square meters.
Plaza Subaru Tebet will not only serve car purchases, but also provides after-sales services, aka 3S, namely sales, service and spare parts.
