Valentino Rossi Reveals Pecco`s Mistakes After Failing to `Wrap` the MotoGP World Title Faster

,

MotoGP living legend, Valentino Rossi commented on Francesco `Pecco` Bagnaia’s failure to lock in the world title at the 2023 Valencia MotoGP.

In an interview, Valentino Rossi said that the Ducati racer made a mistake because he did not choose tires like those used by Jorge Martin in the Sprint Race.

According to Rossi, Pecco should have used exactly the same tires as Martin’s choice.

“If the tire (chosen) is right, both will be fine; if the tire is wrong, both will be damaged. But Pecco felt very comfortable with the medium (tyre) in the morning, Bezzecchi and Marini also used it. From the data “It looks like the performance of the two compounds is very similar, but that’s not the case in racing,” said Rossi in an interview with Sky Sport, quoted on Sunday (26/11/2023).

Although, the difference of 14 points is an important advantage for Pecco, but it will still be difficult.

“Of course it is better to have (a difference of) 14 profits than losses,” said Rossi.

Rossi thinks Pecco is a little calmer than last year. Pecco’s experience also helps in that calmness.

“Last night we chatted and today he did everything we thought, now we’ll see tonight. However, it wasn’t easy for Martin either,” he said.
