Damri Double Decker Bus Launches in Malang, Really Luxurious!

,

Damri this week officially launched double decker buses, which are equipped with luxury sleeper bus facilities. Named Imperial Suites, this double-decker bus will serve the Jakarta-Malang PP route.

Djawatan Angkoetan Motor Repoeblik Indonesia, short for Damri, launched the Imperial Suites service last Thursday in Malang, East Java (14/12/2023), as reported by the Instagram account @kitadamri.

Also present at the inauguration of the Damri double-decker bus were Damri Main Director Setia N. Milatia Moemin, Assistant Deputy for Logistics Services at the Ministry of BUMN Desty Arlaini and Chairman of the Damri Supervisory Board Sam Budigusdian.

This Damri double-decker bus provides 6 sleeper seats at the bottom and 30 seats at the top, with a 2-1 configuration. The chairs used are jumbo legrest models and there are millions of AVOD screen facilities.

Damri double-decker bus ticket prices are still on promotion. For Sleeper Seat Imperial Suites class tickets at the bottom, the price is IDR 595,000. Meanwhile, the upper seats, which are called the Royal Class Imperial Suites, are priced at IDR 495,000.

The appearance of the double-decker bus itself is different from other Damri buses. If other Damri buses are predominantly white, with blue and yellow trim, this Impersial Suites double-decker bus is predominantly dark blue, with yellow trim.

This Damri double-decker bus uses a chassis made by Volvo and was assembled by Tentrem bodyworks.

This is not the first time Damri has operated a double-decker bus. In the 1980s, Damri served the public using double decker buses in several Indonesian cities including Jakarta, Solo, Semarang and Surabaya.
