The figure of the number two vice presidential candidate, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and the number 1 vice presidential candidate, Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin became public attention because of the abbreviation SGIE which appeared in the 2024 presidential election debate a few days ago.
Now both of them have come together to give a special message to the Indonesian people who are celebrating Christmas 2023.
Through his personal X account, Gibran gave a message as Mayor of Surakarta.
In the uploaded video, Gibran stated that the City of Solo guarantees the freedom of every religious community.
We guarantee the security and freedom of every congregation to celebrate their religious holidays.
“Hopefully this year’s Christmas celebration will provide a safe space for Christians to gather with their families. Celebrate with peace and security,” said Gibran, quoted via the @gibran_tweet account on Monday (25/12/2023).
Don’t forget, Gibran wished Christians a merry Christmas, especially in the city of Solo.
“Merry Christmas to my Christian brothers and sisters in the city of Solo,” he said.
“Hopefully this year’s Christmas celebration can bring peace, joy, prosperity and harmony to all people, happy Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024. God bless and protect us all,” said Gibran.
Meanwhile, Cak Imin also delivered a message on Christmas Day.
Through an Instagram upload, Cak Imin said that Christmas brings the spirit of building equality and togetherness among the nation’s children.
According to him, the essence of celebrating Christmas is certainly not just routine worship. However, Christmas is a momentum to grow humanity, strengthen ethics, honesty and love for the country.
Not to forget, the General Chair of the National Awakening Party (PKB) wished you a Merry Christmas 2023 as well as a Happy New Year 2024.
“Merry Christmas 2023 to Christian friends. As well as welcoming the New Year 2024,” he said.
