Towards the end of this year, the Christmas Holidays or Christmas Holidays 2023 and New Year 2024 have become a national agenda involving various vehicles to transport community members to various destinations. Land transportation is no exception, both private and commercial vehicles.

Quoted from the Antara news agency, one of the stopping points for filling up Fuel Oil (BBM) for the Nataru Holiday is the Tangerang-Merak Toll sector which serves the traffic route at one end of Java Island, namely between Merak and Bakauheni on Sumatra Island .

A joint team consisting of PT Pertamina (Persero) together with the Banten Regional Police (Polda) has monitored fuel supplies at the public fuel filling station (SPBU) KM 43 Tangerang-Merak Toll Road. The aim is to ensure that people’s needs for fuel are adequately met during the Christmas holiday period.

From several monitoring at gas stations, a sufficient amount of fuel is available, including Pertalite, Pertamax and Diesel.

“The monitoring carried out today follows the scarcity of diesel fuel in the last few weeks. We are now saying that we ensure that we ensure sufficient fuel supply for the end of the year, especially diesel fuel,” explained Shindu Priyo Windoko, Sales Area Retail Manager for the Banten Region, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java in Tangerang, Friday (22/12/2023).

“We have seen that in the last few days there has been a spike in vehicle volume, until now we are still ensuring stock. So people don’t need to look for too much fuel, the important thing is to comply with the regulations,” continued Shindu Priyo Windoko.

“The police will of course help Pertamina to make fuel distribution run smoothly,” said Police Commissioner Dedi Supriyadi.

Regarding the scarcity of diesel fuel, he said it was due to an increase in consumption from normal. As a result, many trucks queue at gas stations and don’t get diesel.

“Currently it has been broken down, yesterday there was only a slight increase in volume but that can be anticipated,” said Police Commissioner Dedi Supriyadi in detail.

The police stated that they would not hesitate to take action against perpetrators of fuel abuse crimes. And for this reason, he asked the public to participate in monitoring fuel consumption.

“We have been alerted to monitor fuel hoarding, and now it is working,” he said.

For the record, Pertamina has also formed the Pertamina Patra Niaga Task Force Team for the needs of the Christmas Holidays. The famous service provided is the supply of fuel using two-wheeled vehicles when private cars run out of fuel in traffic jams on toll roads.
