Yamaha Lexi is one of the flagship products of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) to compete in the 125 cc scooter segment in Indonesia.
However, as is known, the Yamaha Lexi hasn’t had a refresh for a long time. Responding to this, Antonius Widiantoro as Asst. General Manager Marketing & Public Relations PT YIMM emphasized that Yamaha will continue to innovate.
“Every year Yamaha releases new products. Just wait, innovation and new products from Yamaha,” said Antonius Widiantoro, in Sentul, Bogor Regency, Saturday (9/12/2023).
Furthermore, he was asked whether the Yamaha Lexi had the opportunity to get an updated Y-Connect feature like Yamaha’s Maxi scooter product line. Antonius said that currently his party has no plans in that direction.
“Currently there is none (added Y-Connect). We are looking at consumer demand. If they want it, we will consider it. For now, the Maxi category of 155 cc and above is still the consumer’s choice,” he explained.
Yamaha Lexi is known to have been first launched in Indonesia in 2018. This Honda Vario 125 challenger scooter is equipped with LED headlights, hazard lights, full digital speedometer, wide-tread tubeless tires, power socket, Answerback System, and Start&Stop System.
Lexi also has the advantages that Nmax has, such as wide and very distinctive footrests, long seat seats, capacity luggage.
The Yamaha Lexi engine relies on a SOHC Bluecore 125 cc Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) petrol engine, liquid cooled, 4 valves, with DiASil Cylinder & Forged Piston, Smart Motor Generator (SMG).
