Strange things happened on the shores of Cibutun Loji Beach, Sukabumi Regency, West Java. Because, after only a few days of cleaning, rubbish piled up again in the area.
Previously, the Pandawara Group youth group was assisted by residents, officials and the local government working together to clean up the mountain of rubbish on the beach from 4 to 7 October 2023.
However, the beach was dirty again because of the large amount of rubbish on Sunday (8/10/ 2023).
Reported from SukabumiUpdate–media partner , the waste monitored is dominated by household waste and plastic.
Dandim 0622 Sukabumi Regency, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Anjar Ari Wibowo, directly observed the amount of rubbish covering the shoreline.
“It turns out that this morning the edge of the beach that we have cleaned is filled with rubbish again, but the rubbish at the moment is not cloth rubbish but household rubbish, mostly used washing soap, some used coffee and so on,” said Dandim 0622 Sukabumi Regency, Lt. Col. Inf Anjar Ari Wibowo quoted Monday (9/10/2023).
In the future, TNI officers will focus on cleaning up cloth waste first. During the first cleaning, at least 100 tons of cloth waste was transported.
Anjar further said that the cloth waste that was successfully transported by his party during the 4-day cleanup weighed 100 tons.
“If we calculate more than 100 tons. Some of it has been thrown into the landfill (Cimenteng), then what we piled up is three or four mountains, more or less equal to around 100 tons,” he explained.
Anjar admitted that he had some difficulty cleaning on the fifth day. Because, what should be assisted by two heavy equipment, his party can only operate one tool.
Therefore, he asked the local Environmental Service (DLH) to help by providing tools.
“If you have maximum equipment support with a maximum waste transport fleet, the time will be faster, but if you work with one PC 75 tool, I’m sure it will take longer,” he asked.
