Hyundai Motor Company as the official sponsor of the U-17 World Cup in Indonesia today (7/11/2023) handed over 148 cars which will be used as operational vehicles during the event which starts on 10 November.
The hundreds of Hyundai cars consist of the Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 6 electric cars, then the Hyundai Palisade, Creta and Stargazer.
“We are proud to be part of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Indonesia 2023. This involvement also strengthens Hyundai’s commitment to supporting the younger generation to achieve their potential, especially in the field of football,” said the President Director of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) , Woojune Cha.
Previously, Hyundai has been a sponsor for dozens of official FIFA competitions, including five editions of the world cup. Hyundai has also announced that it will continue its partnership with FIFA until 2030.
The long-term collaboration between Hyundai and FIFA shows the company’s commitment to supporting sustainable progress of world football.
The U-17 World Cup in Indonesia will be held in four cities, namely Jakarta (Jakarta International Stadium), Bandung (Jalak Harupat Stadium), Surabaya (Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium), and Surakarta (Manahan Stadium)
Apart from providing support through its cars, Hyundai is also holding a series of activities entitled Empowering #ChampsofTomorrow to enliven the U-17 World Cup.
During this event, the general public can take part in a special test drive activity from 19 October to 23 November 2023 to win tickets and travel packages to watch the U-17 World Cup.
This special test drive activity takes place at all Hyundai dealers and exhibitions as well as at the Hyundai Driving Experience SCBD and Hyundai Motorstudio Senayan Park.
Apart from that, Hyundai is also holding a friendly futsal tournament for young Indonesians aged 12 to 15 years involving a total of 32 selected teams in four cities hosting the U-17 World Cup.
The winners of this futsal competition will receive tickets to the U-17 World Cup match and support prizes to help develop young talents in the field of football.
