The Regent of Mojokerto, Ikfina Fahmawati won the 2023 National PAUD Mother Award in the Wiyata Darma Pratama category. This activity by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) is a form of appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Culture to motivate PAUD Mothers to innovate educational services for early childhood.
The recipients of the national level PAUD Mother Appreciation are provincial and district/city PAUD Mothers who are assessed based on the implementation of the PAUD Mother work program in supporting the joyful PAUD to SD Transition Movement.
Director General of PDM Kemendikbudristek, Iwan Syahril, expressed his thanks and full appreciation to PAUD Mothers and Regional Governments who participated in building the Independent Learning Movement.
“Let’s continue this movement, because so far it has had a good impact on education and brought about better changes for Indonesia’s future. More than 500 elementary schools have successfully implemented independent learning with the Merdeka Belajar program,” said Iwan Syahril.
Meanwhile, Chair of the KNIU (Indonesian National Commission for UNESCO), Itje Chodidjah said, UNESCO will continue to strive to make a significant contribution to care and education for early childhood. Age 0-5 years is the golden age, so it is important to instill 6 foundational abilities in children.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, said that for the past 4 years, the Ministry of Education and Culture has continued to push the education system massively and holistically, to change the learning process to be more enjoyable.
There are 3 exciting targets for change in the PAUD to SD Transition Movement. First, the education unit needs to eliminate the calistung test from the process of admitting new students to elementary schools. Second, implementing an introductory period for new students for the first 2 weeks, third implementing learning that builds the 6 foundational abilities of children in PAUD and SD.
“Let’s strengthen the synergy and collaboration that has existed and continue this movement. Providing children with 6 foundational abilities can be used as lifelong learners for them,” he said.
