Vice Presidential Candidate (Cawapres) number one, Muhaimin Iskandar or often called Cak Imin was seen riding a Vespatrail on the road.
This was revealed in an upload from the Instagram account @cakiminow which was uploaded some time ago.
In the upload, the Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) is quite relaxed when riding a Vespa trail on the highway.
Before trying out the Vespa, Cak Imin was curious about the shape of the motorbike. The reason is, this Vespa is unique because it uses trail tires on the front wheels.
When testing, he was seen without wearing a helmet. The vice presidential candidate number one even wore a white hat when trying out the motorbike.
Referring to Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation, the use of helmets is mandatory for all motorbike users.
These rules are contained in article 106 paragraph (8) of Law No. 22 of 2009 which reads like this.
“Every person driving a motorbike and motorbike passengers must wear a helmet that meets Indonesian national standards.”
So, based on the provisions above, motorbike riders, both drivers and passengers, are required to use helmets that meet Indonesian national standards.
