They are expected to inspire other people, especially women, to drive safely.
PT AHM deployed reliable Honda safety riding instructors between 11-23 December 2023 to provide safety riding training materials to mothers or women in interactive, fun, and contemporary material. Participants came from professionals or employees, academics, to PKK mothers.
To commemorate Mother’s Day on December 22, PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) together with a network of main Honda motorbike dealers throughout Indonesia provided driving safety education to approximately 1,100 women from Sabang to Merauke [PT AHM]. “Women, especially mothers, have strategic role in supporting efforts to create awareness of driving safety and positive changes starting from the family environment, namely as an educator, protector and protector. “We hope that they can become role models for society by participating in creating orderly and safe traffic, as well as being part of saving the lives of the younger generation,” explained Andy Wijaya, General Manager of Marketing Planning & Analysis at AHM.
“Apart from carrying out the mission to continue consistently campaigning for satey riding, through this activity, the company also wants to give appreciation to women in Indonesia who are valuable figures. From them, the nation’s next generation will be born who can bring positive change to the family,” he added.
In the event providing safety riding material, the AHM team not only uses appropriate riding gear and how to ride safely, participants are given an understanding of various accident patterns. Then, they are also given knowledge about unsafe driving behavior that drivers can potentially engage in.
PT AHM holds driving safety education which is given to various elements of society, schools from kindergarten to tertiary level, to providing training to communities as well as private and government agencies [PT AHM] “For me who takes my children every day “To school and work using a motorbike, this activity made me more aware of the importance of paying attention to the use of safety equipment when driving,” said Riana Fitriani, one of the participants from PKK Kemiling, Bandar Lampung.
In carrying out their daily activities, many women today use motorbikes, both individually and with their families. In order to be able to carry out activities safely, comfortably and still stylishly, women need to pay attention to safe driving and respect other road users.
For the record, AHM’s consistency in campaigning for driving safety is manifested in various activities. Throughout this year, 122,822 people from Sabang to Merauke have gained an understanding of the importance of safe riding through safety riding education. Education is provided to various elements of society, schools from kindergarten to university level, to providing training to communities as well as private and government agencies.
No less than 2,465 safety riding campaign programs in collaboration with the Honda Main Dealer network throughout Indonesia received appreciation and enthusiasm from the program participants and beneficiaries. In its implementation, the entire safety riding campaign program is supported by 148 reliable instructors who are experienced and certified by AHM, 2,475 dealer advisors and 1,414 community advisors in providing training in both theory and practice of driving safety.
