List of New Non-Electric Cars Entering Indonesia in 2023

The Indonesian car market will be filled with a number of electric cars in 2023. However, the market for conventional cars or those with internal combustion engines/ICE is still a favorite.

Not only giant brands, a number of new names have also entered Indonesia and don’t want to be outdone by sophisticated cars. The following is a list of new non-electric cars in Indonesia in 2023:

Chery Omoda 5

Chery Omoda 5 at IIMS 2023 [/Manuel Jeghesta Nainggolan]. This Chery Premium Crossover SUV was first introduced in Indonesia at the Indonesian automotive event International Motor Show (IIMS) 2023 last February.

This car steals attention with its modern design, sophisticated features and large power in its class. The price of Omoda 5 is also very affordable, at around IDR 334 million.

All New Honda Civic Type R

Honda releases All New Civic Type R for the Indonesian market. The All New Honda Civic Type R sports car is presented with an aggressive design and also a more powerful engine in March 2023 in Indonesia. This car has a 2.0 Liter VTEC Turbo engine to support its performance.

With these specifications, the All New Civic Type R is capable of producing 319 PS of power, an increase of 9 PS compared to the previous generation, and a maximum torque of 420 Nm, an increase of 20 Nm compared to the previous generation. This car is sold for around IDR 1.4 billion.

Mitsubishi [/Liberty Jemadu] Mitsubishi XForce is a breakthrough from PT MMKSI in Indonesia. This compact SUV is stylish and tough. Mitsubishi XForce comes in two variants such as Ultimate CVT and Exceed CVT. Mitsubishi XForce prices start from IDR 380 million to IDR 420 million for the highest variant.

Wuling Alvez

Wuling Alvez’s appearance at IIMS 2023, JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta [/Manuel Jeghesta Nainggolan]. inline cylinder, DOHC, Wuling Alvez prices start at IDR 209 million.

Hyundai Stargazer (/Bangun S) Hyundai Stargazer Coming in two variants, the Hyundai Stargazer X Style is sold for IDR 325.6 million. Meanwhile, the Stargazer X Prime variant is priced at IDR 336.2 million.

Toyota Yaris Cross

Toyota Yaris Cross was launched in June 2023. This compact SUV type car comes in two options, namely a pure combustion engine car and a hybrid engine model. Prices for the non-Hybrid Yaris Cross start from IDR 351 million to IDR 407 million.

New MG HS

The new All New HS SUV from Morris Garage was launched in the SCBD area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (25/1) (ANTARA / Pamela Sakina) Morris Garage released the New MG HS for the Indonesian market, on 25 January 2023. This is a refreshed or facelifted version of a similar model that was marketed in Indonesia three years ago.

This SUV has quite significant changes in appearance and looks fresher. Moreover, with full LED lights, the latest turn signal design and a Digital Flaming Grille which makes the front appearance of this five-passenger SUV have more character.

Carrying a 1490 cc engine base, the New MG HS is offered at prices starting from IDR 455.8 million to IDR 545.8 million for the highest variant.

New Daihatsu Terios

This latest version offers a new appearance and an interior that looks more elegant than the previous version. The price of the Daihatsu Terios is priced from IDR 236 million to IDR 303 million.
