Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Karyoto was accused of threatening the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the Muhammad Suryo case. Karyoto’s figure suddenly became the spotlight, including regarding his wealth and vehicle collection.
The alleged intimidation of the KPK leadership was revealed in a replica of the pre-trial trial of the inactive KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri some time ago at the South Jakarta District Court.
Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Committee, Alexander Marwata, admitted that he had heard the threat. However, he did not reveal who received intimidation.
