Suzuki is rumored to be launching the Suzuki Jimny 5 Door for the Indonesian market in the near future.
However, before entering Indonesia, the Suzuki Jimny 5 Door is known to have already been marketed in India.
Before officially entering Indonesia, first take a look at the specifications of the Suzuki Jimny 5 Door which is expected to be released at the 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) automotive exhibition.
In appearance, the Suzuki Jimny 5 Door is actually not much different from the 3 door version.
The Suzuki Jimny 5 Door has dimensions of length 3,985 mm, width 1,645 mm and height 1,720 mm with a wheelbase of 2,590 mm.
The difference can be seen in the rear door aft bodywork. The rear greenhouse is shorter than on three-door Jimny models.
This car uses a ladder frame chassis, wide body angles, 3-link rigid suspension and ALLGRIP Pro (4WD) drive with low range gear transfer (4L mode).
The interior is also more or less the same. The Jimny interior uses a minimalist design to avoid distractions so the driver remains focused.
The dashboard and center console have been designed to maximize the driver’s awareness of the car’s angle on bumpy surfaces.
The difference is, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny comes with a 9″ Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system.
Suzuki claims that users of the 5-door Jimny have safety features that make drivers confident crossing the wilderness. Among them are six airbags, Brake (LSD) Limited Slip Differential, ESP with hill hold assist, hill descent control, rear view camera, and ABS with EBD.
For power matters, the Suzuki Jimny 5 Door relies on a 1.5 liter K-series engine with Idle Start Stop.
Engine capacity of 1,462 The cc is capable of producing 104.8 PS of power at 6,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 134.2 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The engine is connected to a choice of 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
For the Indian market, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny is priced at IDR 216 million to IDR 270 million. However, it is certain that there will be a price difference if this iconic SUV enters the Indonesian market.
