Shell Indonesia, on Wednesday (22/11/2023) introduced Shell Mysella S7N Ultra, a stationary gas engine oil, to improve the performance of the electric power industry in Indonesia.
Shell Mysella S7N Ultra was presented at the Enlit Asia 2023 energy and power sector conference and exhibition at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD, Tangerang.
“This lubricant supports factory owners to ensure machine reliability and obtain other benefits in the long term,” said Director of PT Shell Indonesia, Andri Pratiwa in a press release received in Jakarta.
Shell Mysella S7N Ultra is made from natural gas using gas-to-liquid (GTL) technology which has the advantage of maintaining equipment efficiency and is resistant to high pressure in extreme operating conditions.
This lubricant also supports operational optimization by increasing the oil drain interval (ODI) to 4,000 hours, from the previous average of 2,000 hours.
Moreover, electric power industry owners can benefit from optimal protection of crucial components, extended lubricant change intervals, and reduced lubricant consumption.
“With the advantages and benefits of Shell Mysella S7N Ultra, it is hoped that it can increase industry players’ understanding of the importance of using appropriate and quality lubricants. “Based on research conducted by Shell, as many as 49% of industry players are still unaware that using the right lubricant can extend engine life, save energy, as well as reduce maintenance costs,” continued Andri Pratiwa.
Shell also collaborates with world-class electric power companies in developing lubrication products and services for the electric power industry, starting from power generation engines, turbine lubricants, electrical insulation oils, gear lubricants, grease lubricants, hydraulic fluids and diesel engine lubricants heavy duty.
