Electric motorbikes are increasingly popular due to the convenience and practicality of charging. However, what is the minimum household power needed to charge an electric motorbike?

Gesits electric motorbikes, which offer easy battery charging at home, require at least a minimum power of 900 Watts.

The charging process can be done by opening the motorbike seat, taking the battery, and plugging it into a regular socket or directly into the power socket on the motorbike if it is close by.

2. Charging Options at SPKLU

Electric motorbike users can choose to charge the battery at the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) using a token voucher purchased through PLN.

The time needed to charge the battery from 0% to full is around 3-4 hours.

Apart from Gesits, several other electric motorbike models that can be recharged at home include Selis, Polytron, Yadea, and Honda. For United and Polytron electric motorbikes, the minimum electrical power required is 1,300 Watts.

4. How to Charge and Power United motorbikes

United electric motorbikes can be charged in two ways, namely Swap Battery or Direct Charging. The charging process can be done by connecting an electrical socket to a power source with a minimum power of 1,300 Watts.

5. Home Power for Other Electric Motors

Yadea electric motors require a minimum of 660 Watts of home electrical power. The Honda EM1 e can also be recharged at home, although Honda does not provide clear information about the minimum power required. However, it is estimated that the charging output power requirement is around 400 Watts.

The choice of electric motorbike is not only related to performance and design, but also considers the availability of adequate household power for an efficient charging process.
